Your role as Security Operations Engineer
As part of the IT team, you have the unique opportunity to be co-responsible for the further growth and development of our white-label e-Mobility solutions. Our solutions are focused on Charge Point Operators and e-Mobility Service Providers or on companies from other industries who want to become a CPO or e-MSP. You will work together with our Infrastructure Engineer, DBA, System Administrator and our developers.
As a SecOps Engineer, you are responsible, together with colleagues but also independently, for keeping and improving the security of a wide range of networks and applications. As a Security Engineer, you are responsible for managing the security of Microsoft 365, the data, endpoints and end users in the business environment.
You are pragmatic and able to work in a solution-oriented way. You can clearly communicate and present risks to the organization.
As an engineer, you are very decisive and proactive in order to tackle tasks in the best possible way. You are responsible for in-depth analysis of incident log data, using SIEM technology, log systems, vulnerability information and troubleshooting tools, among others. You use analyses from our monitoring and logging systems and translate their output into appropriate interventions and advice for the organization to improve the quality of security. Daily activities include monitoring, controlling and improving the security measures on our systems and environments. As an engineer, you support the analysts who carry out the initial triage. You also contribute to improving the current (and future) security tools we use for our environments.
What you will do as an Security Operations Engineer
- Design and improve security architecture
- Administrating and maintaining our virtualized Linux infrastructure and network
- Administrating and configuring firewalls, VPN
- Knowledge in securing Kubernetes or Docker Swarm stacks
- Experience with tools like Ansible, GitHub actions, Elk, Sonarcloud
- Knowledge in scripting language like Bash, PowerShell, Python
Experience in setting up or configuring identity providers (SAML, OAuth) - You will be responsible for all security systems
- Setting up and managing monitoring, detection, log analysis and firewall systems
- Analyzing log data in case of incidents
- Extending use cases and playbooks
- Thinking along about new applications
- Interacting with various stakeholders
You recognize yourself in
- CISSP certified
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- HBO level
- Linux knowledge
- Database knowledge
- Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft 365 and SalesForce
- Strong communication skills in a diverse international environment
- Strong analytical skills
- You live in the surroundings of Rotterdam or are willing to travel there for 2-3 days a week
