“We are glad that the Dutch government decided to support the setup of EVC-ISAC,” summarizes Stefan van den Heuvel, Chief Information Security Officer at Last Mile Solutions on launching the Electric Vehicle Charging – Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (EVC-ISAC). He emphasises that as the e-mobility industry moves forward, cybersecurity across the industry is critical for ensuring a reliable and future-proof charging infrastructure.
At Last Mile Solutions, we believe trust is the foundation of this progress. That is why we see cybersecurity not just as a requirement, but as an opportunity to raise industry standards and drive innovation.
EVC-ISAC: strengthens cybersecurity in e-mobility
One way we take action is through EVC-ISAC (Electric Vehicle Charging – Information Sharing and Analysis Centre). As a founding member, Last Mile Solutions is committed to strengthening cybersecurity across the entire e-mobility sector.
Launched in late 2024, EVC-ISAC provides a trusted space for industry leaders to share threat intelligence, identify vulnerabilities, and develop collective responses to cyber risks. By working together, we can increase the entire sector’s resilience against cyber threats and ensure a more secure future for all stakeholders.
Staying ahead of cyber threats
As cyber threats become more advanced, a reactive approach is no longer enough. We take a proactive approach, using advanced encryption, real-time threat monitoring, and partnerships to protect transactions and data.
With the introduction of the NIS2 directive, cybersecurity requirements for digital infrastructures are becoming stricter. We go beyond compliance, using these regulations as a tool to set even higher security standards.
Collaboration is key in cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is not an individual effort – it’s a shared responsibility. Through EVC-ISAC, we work with reliable industry Partners (Alfen, ElaadNL, Eneco eMobility, Fastned, GreenFlux, Milence, and Vattenfall InCharge) to exchange insights and develop preventative strategies. Sharing information, ensures that the sector can respond to cyber threats more rapidly and effectively.
Beyond our work with EVC-ISAC, we actively support our customers with compliance checks, security audits, and continuous monitoring. Our goal is to help businesses mitigate risks, and to empower them to use cybersecurity as a strategic advantage. Our triple ISO certification reinforces this commitment, ensuring we meet the highest standards in information security, quality management, and operational continuity.
A secure future for e-mobility
We believe security and innovation go hand in hand. By actively contributing to cybersecurity initiatives and improving our own security measures, we are collectively setting new benchmarks for the e-mobility sector. Together with our Partners and customers, we are building a future where charging infrastructure across Europe is not only efficient and accessible but also secure.
