What is eViolin?

eViolin is an association founded by operators of charging stations and other service providers of EV charging solutions to optimise the accessibility of charging stations in the public access area, both technically and commercially

To support the development of the EV market, agreements are made within the association to standardise the technical aspects of interoperability. In this way, the association tries to keep the total system costs low. In this way the market remains accessible for new entrants and no unnecessary costs are charged to the electric driver.

Future

eViolin strives for simple agreements and transparency, and recognises that start-up markets are never simple. Electric driving is a new social development, similar to the introduction of the Internet and mobile telephony: several providers, many technological developments and a new playing field.

With eViolin there is a platform for effective consultation. All members have expressed their willingness to conduct these consultations and comply with decisions by becoming members. Through eViolin, charging point operators and charging service providers arrange for drivers of electric cars to choose their own charging service provider and still be able to charge at as many locations as possible in the Netherlands.
