Arval and Last Mile Solutions partner to offer European-wide EV charging services for fleet drivers

Arval/Last Mile Solutions

The partnership between Arval and Last Mile Solutions expands the access of electric vehicle (EV) services for fleet drivers. Soon, Arval’s fleet customers will be able to charge on more than 600,000 charge points across Europe using a single charge card and platform, making the drivers’ EV experience even more seamless.

Together, Arval, the full-service vehicle leasing and new mobility solutions company, and Last Mile Solutions, the provider of a leading EV charging and smart energy management platform, will offer EV charging services to Arval fleet customers across Europe.

Last Mile Solutions’ thorough expertise in EV charging management complements Arval’s established position in the fleet leasing industry. With the agreement, Arval fleet customers will get direct access to a European network of more than 600,000 charge points via a single platform. Within the collaboration, the partners will also work on introducing new technologies, like vehicle-to-grid, into the fleet market.

The partnership helps meet the growing demand for EV charging services, as the number of fleet drivers across Europe is constantly increasing and more companies choose to go electric. This moves both Arval and Last Mile Solutions forward on the shared strategic goal of accelerating the energy transition towards more sustainable mobility. Arval has the ambition to lease 350,000 battery electric vehicles (BEV) in its global fleet by 2025, lowering its emissions by 35% to 93g CO₂ per vehicle per kilometer on average.

“We’re truly proud of our collaboration with Arval, a leader ahead in the mobility industry. Our EV charging services will allow Arval to take a unified and pan-European approach to the EV charging network. This partnership also represents our joint commitment to a vision of a cleaner and more sustainable future,” says Eric Van Voorden, CEO of Last Mile Solutions.

“As an international player in long-term rentals and new mobility services, supporting our customers in their energy transition is at the heart of our strategy, and we have committed to lease 350,000 BEVs by the end of 2025. Moving forward, while the global charging infrastructure continues to develop, it is necessary for us to provide charging solutions to our customers for their vehicles. We are very glad to work with our partner Last Mile Solutions to achieve our objectives towards electrification and to sustain our clients’ energy transition, by offering them optimal services with great benefits such as reimbursements for home charging, among others,” says Bart Beckers, Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer of Arval.
