Last Mile Solutions, an electric vehicle (EV) charging and smart energy management service provider pioneer, and Chargemap, Europe’s leading platform for EV drivers, proudly announce a strengthened collaboration with a direct connection. This collaboration ensures faster and safer information sharing between the companies while improving the accessibility of EV charging for drivers.
With the newly announced OCPI (Open Charge Point Interface) connection, the leading European EV charging companies can share crucial data, such as tariffs and Charge Point locations, bilaterally within hours instead of days. The peer-2-peer direct connection also enables faster issue solving, which reinforces reliability and efficiency of the networks.
EV drivers can use Last Mile Solutions’ and Chargemap’s shared charging infrastructure and enjoy a more seamless charging experience with real time information. Therefore, the accessibility of EV charging grows within Europe.
Peter van Zuylen, Roaming Director at Last Mile Solutions is enthusiastic about the joint efforts. He adds, “The direct connection is a great example of how two leading European EV charging companies work towards a shared goal: a more accessible and smarter EV charging infrastructure for all. We are proud of the work done by our integration and connectivity teams and look forward to expanding our co-operation also in the future.”
Yoann Nussbaumer, Founder and CEO of Chargemap, adds: “Our goal is to enhance the charging experience for EV drivers across Europe. By connecting directly to Last Mile Solutions, we can provide more reliable and up-to-date information about charging stations. This partnership also allows us to continue expanding the coverage of charging points in the Chargemap app, which currently features more than 1,500 different networks and over 525,000 charging points listed in Europe. We are eager to continue and grow our partnership in the future.”
