Thijs Baars has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Last Mile Solutions as of April 1, 2024. He will follow Johan Brouwer, who remains as Founder-Director and Chief Special Products.
Thijs Baars, previously Head of Development at Last Mile Solutions, has over a decade of experience in the electric vehicle (EV) charging sector, as well as technology and e-commerce industries. He has led the software development at EV charging company Fastned, and set up and scaled tech organizations at Bol and McKinsey.
As a CTO, Thijs will lead all technology development at Last Mile Solutions, including its EV charging and smart energy management platform. This furthers Last Mile Solutions’ strategic goal of accelerating the energy transition to more sustainable mobility, as new technological solutions are needed in the quickly developing EV charging industry.

Thijs will continue to work closely with his predecessor and co-founder of Last Mile Solutions Johan Brouwer, who has worked as a CTO since 2005.
